What is powder sintering?

 

Powder sintering is a process in which metal powder or other powder is used to compact a material or product, which is heated to a temperature below the melting point of the main component. Due to physical and chemical reactions such as bonding between particles, the required strength and characteristics are obtained. It can transform powder formed blocks from particle aggregates into crystal bound materials or products. Sintering is generally carried out under a protective atmosphere, and sometimes a certain amount of filler needs to be added in a high-temperature sintering furnace.
